Intuit Enterprise Suite
The infrastructure of IES is primarily derived from QuickBooks Online. This is evident from communications to third-party app developers that integrate with QBO, as seen in the FAQs listed below. The full blog article by the manufacturer can be accessed via the November 2024 link.
Currently, IES and QuickBooks Online utilize a shared API. However, as IES continues to grow, it is anticipated to receive its own dedicated API (refer to point 2 below). A significant feature of IES is the facilitation of intercompany transactions, which the existing QBO API does not support. Therefore, third-party developers will have to await the release of a new API tailored for intercompany activities (refer to point 3 below).

- I am a new developer and I want to create an app that works with both QuickBooks Online and Intuit Enterprise Suite. Do I have to create two apps?
No. You can create one app to support both products, as well as many of our other offerings, such as QuickBooks Payments.
2. Is the QuickBooks Online API compatible with Intuit Enterprise Suite, or will there be separate APIs for QuickBooks Online and Intuit Enterprise Suite?
The QuickBooks Online APIs will work out of the box for Intuit Enterprise Suite customers as well. We do, however, plan to introduce new APIs for exclusive features in Intuit Enterprise Suite in the future.
3. Are there any API limitations I should be aware of when using the QuickBooks Online API to build third-party applications for Intuit Enterprise Suite?
The following features are exclusive to Intuit Enterprise Suite and aren’t currently available via the QuickBooks Online API:
